Dr. Mary Evans Sias, a former UT Dallas senior vice president of student affairs and external relations, will discuss “The Transforming Power and Potential of Women Leaders” at The Women’s Museum in Dallas on Sunday, March 27.

The talk is at 2 p.m.

Sias is currently the president of Kentucky State University. She accepted the position in 2004 after nine years at UT Dallas. 

She joined UT Dallas in 1995 as associate provost and associate professor of the faculty in what is now the School of Interdisciplinary Studies.

Before joining UT Dallas, Sias was chief executive officer of the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Metropolitan Dallas for 13 years.  She was also known for holding a variety of civic leadership positions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The Women’s Museum seeks to tell the diverse stories of American women and expand understanding of women’s participation in shaping our nation’s history.
