UT Dallas students—and anyone else interested in learning more about law school—are encouraged to attend the Law School Caravan scheduled to be on campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Admissions officers and representatives of an estimated 80 law schools will be at the University to meet with anyone interested in studying law. Free and open to the public, the event will take place in the Faculty/Staff Dining Hall.

The event is a chance for students to learn about specific law schools, said Dr. Anthony Champagne, head of the Pre-Law Advising and Resource Center at UT Dallas.

“Each school will have a table set up and representatives available to speak about their respective school’s philosophy, programs, acceptance rate and campus environment,” Champagne said. “With that in mind, it is a good idea to come with a list of questions you have about the schools you are interested in attending.”

The UT Dallas Pre-Law Advising and Resource Center offers a variety of services and programs tailored to a student’s specific stage in the law school application process. Through the center, students have access to workshops and speakers from throughout the legal spectrum. Program advisors also meet with students for individual academic counseling sessions as needed.

The Southwest Association of Pre-Law Advisors is an organization made up of pre-law advisors from colleges and universities throughout the southwestern United States. Each year, the group sponsors a Law School Caravan that takes law school representatives to locations throughout the region.
