UT Dallas hosted two dozen camps for K-12 students over the summer. Young people explored everything from virtual worlds, to presenting business plans, to learning what life is like in a college residence hall. The University’s summer camps are designed to expose young people to the expertise of faculty and students from the various schools on campus, as well as popular campus activities, such as chess, debate and sports. Many of the camps include projects, such as building unmanned quad copters and creating a solar car.
