The new NetID system’s primary mode of communication with you for Forgot/Reset password and the unlocking of your account will be through your personal email address. If you do not have a personal email address, you may create a free account through Gmail, Yahoo mail, or Hotmail. Please update your personal email address by going to Galaxy. Additional instructions can be found in the links below. Providing this information will make it easier for you to regain access to your account if you forget your password or are locked out.

A passphrase that is at least 12 characters long. It should not contain your NetID or your name. It should include combinations of any 3 of the following 4 complexities: uppercase letter, lowercase letter, a number, or a non-alphanumeric character. Password will require change once every 365 days
No, you will be able to use your existing password. The expiration of your password has been extended by 6 months to make the transition to the new system easier.
You will only be required to change it one time annually.
No this will no longer be hosted in the NetID system. Please open an Atlas ticket in the future to request this.
No, your password will be near real-time in the new system. The password change process in the new system will give you the opportunity to confirm your login right after you change your password.
