Congratulations on pursuing your graduate studies at UT Dallas. To help you get off to a good, strong start, Student Transition Programs and the Office of Graduate Education will provide you with information to help answer any questions you have about the University.

Because you have attended one or more colleges or universities before, you may have noticed that each institution has policies, procedures, and services that are unique. Therefore, we encourage you to utilize the online Graduate Student Orientation resources to learn more about UT Dallas.

Graduate Student Orientation

Orientations

Graduate Student Orientation resources for students are available online in eLearning. These resources will cover what to expect as a graduate student at UT Dallas, an overview of the code of student conduct, academic integrity policies, campus services, and ways to get involved on campus as a new graduate student.

To access the online modules, log into the UT Dallas eLearning site using your NetID and password (if you are having problems with your NetID, please visit netid.utdallas.edu). Under My Organizations, select Graduate Student Orientation. If you do not see Graduate Student Orientation, please email newstudentprograms@utdallas.edu to gain access.

Class Registration

To register for classes, please schedule a meeting with your academic advisor as soon as possible. You can find your degree’s advisor contact information at utdallas.edu/admission/graduate/degrees.

International Graduate Students

International Student Orientation is mandatory for F and J visa holding international students enrolling at UT Dallas for the first time or students changing their status to F-1. Find out more about International Student Orientation.
