Welcome to UT Dallas

Congratulations on pursuing your graduate studies at UT Dallas. To help you get off to a good, strong start, New Student Programs and the Office of Graduate Studies will provide you with information to help answer any questions you have about the University.

Because you have attended one or more colleges or universities before, you may have noticed that each institution has policies, procedures, and services that are unique. Therefore, we encourage you to attend Graduate Student Orientation to learn more about UT Dallas.

Graduate Student Orientation

Spring 2018 Orientation

Graduate Student Orientation for students entering in spring 2018 will be held in early January 2018. Check back here for more details.

Orientation will cover what to expect as a graduate student at UT Dallas, an overview of the code of student conduct, academic integrity policies, and campus services. In addition, you will also have the chance to meet current a graduate student who can answer questions and provide resources for you to get involved on campus. You must have a valid UT Dallas parking permit or must obtain a visitor parking pass at the Visitor Center and University Bookstore (VCB) or use a Pay-By-Space lot to park on UT Dallas property. International Graduate Students

International Student Orientation is mandatory for F and J visa holding international students enrolling at UT Dallas for the first time or students changing their status to F-1.

Please Note: F and J status students will NOT be able to register for classes prior to attending an International Student Orientation.
