Faculty and staff planning to host a program, activity, camp or event for minors, including unpaid laboratory internships and mentorships, whether in-person or online, on campus or a remote location, are required to follow the Programs for Minors policy UTDSP5015 – Programs for Minors and supplemental guidelines (pdf).

Child Abuse Hotline
Texas law requires anyone with knowledge of suspected child abuse or neglect to immediately report it to the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Reports can be made at any time to DFPS by phone at 1-800-252-5400 or online at Texas Abuse Hotline.
PACE Supervision Ratios
One adult can supervise up to:
- 6 children ages 4 to 5
- 8 children ages 6 to 8
- 10 children ages 9 to 14
- 12 children ages 15 to 17
