Group X

Exercise in a group! Rather than jump on a machine or go for a run, gather some friends and get your workout by moving to the beat of your favorite songs. Trained instructors lead the workout through a variety of movement combinations that exercises your muscles while you have fun at the same time. Whether it be bootcamp, yoga, cardio dance fitness or Zumba, choose something you like and join the group!

Group X Pass

Semester Pass Individual Pass
$50 access to all classes $3 access to any individual class
  • Summer 2016 passes are good for May 31st - August 6th.
  • Classes begin on Tuesday May 31st, 2016.
  • Classes end on Saturday August 6th, 2016.
  • No classes on Independence Day (July 4th)
  • There is a $20 card replacement fee for a lost or stolen Group X pass
  • All passes are non-refundable beginning June 7th, 2016.
  • Participants must show proof of pass and ID before entering class.
  • Sponsored guests will be required to pay the $2 Activity Center / Rec Center West fee as well as a $3 group exercise fee for a single class.
  • Community Users will be required to pay the $5 Activity Center / Rec Center West fee as well as the $3 group exercise fee for a single class.
  • Classes in residential areas are for area residents and semester pass holders only.
  • Passes will be prorated to $25 beginning July 11th, 2016.

Class Descriptions

Aqua Land Bootcamp - This class does more than just get you in shape! This boot camp program is designed based on the training divers in the military go through.  Cross training is the key to never letting your body adapt to a certain exercise. Participants should be somewhat comfortable in the water, please bring water and a towel/bathing suit you can move comfortably in.

Body Pump & Body Pump Express - Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you'll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning.

Butts n' Guts - An entire hour dedicated to building core strength, toning legs, and sculpting your lower body.

Cardio Kickboxing - This intense workout is a combination of aerobics, boxing, and martial arts. Improve on your strength, fitness, flexibility, coordination, and balance.

Cardio Dance Fit - Get ready to move it, move it! Learn the hottest dance moves in this cardio style dance class. We spice it up by adding circuits, so you get a great full-body workout.

Core Crush - 30 minutes of abdominal and core training that guarantees to burn fat from your core.

HIIT Express - Get ready to turn on your jets! This class begins with a dynamic warm-up. Then we incorporate strength conditioning, power intervals, and plyometric moves that will challenge you both physically and mentally.

Hip - Hop - Hip-Hop is all about expression and sequence of moves. Learn cool routines in this class for all skill sets.

Meditation - This intro class will lay the foundation of a successful meditation practice, including breath work, concentration, and deep relaxation. Classes will vary in meditation styles allowing all participants, including beginners, to learn a variety of tools to establish a practice.

PIYO - PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. And, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined.

Tango - Beginner and Intermediate -The Tango class is for anyone interested in learning the tango-era dances. Rhythm and footwork will be covered, with a focus on technique and musicality.

Trek and Tread - Your instructor will take you on a treadmill running journey surrounded by your friends. You will have the opportunity to use speed and incline to challenge yourself while the instructor leads you through a varied workout including hills, sprints, and strength and endurance phases. It's virtually impossible to get bored in one of these classes.

U-JAM Fitness® - U-JAM Fitness® takes you around the world from Bollywood to Hip-Hop with an intense cardio dance workout designed to burn calories, tone your body, and leave you begging for more!

Yoga - Power Flow - Practice cardiovascular and meditative Yoga postures correctly to lengthen the muscles, open jammed joints and practice breathing more effectively and effortlessly.

Yoga - Vinyasa Flow - Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow

Zumba - Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that will sculpt and tone your body. Who ever thought sweating could be so much fun?
