The Texas Legislature established the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) in 1993. The SECC helps employees of state agencies, universities and community colleges support charities of their choice through an annual campaign featuring convenient payroll deduction.

Employees Support
Annual Giving Campaign

Each year UT Dallas joins forces with other institutions for the State Employee Charitable Campaign to raise funds for a number of local, national and international nonprofit organizations.

During the 2016 campaign, University faculty and staff opened their hearts to contribute more than $103,000 to the cause.

Historically, two University programs are popular recipients for UT Dallas donors. Last year 150 individuals contributed more than $19,500 to the Callier Center for Communication Disorders and $17,000 to the Academic Bridge Program.

Fifty-nine leadership gifts – contributions of $1,000 or more – totaling more than $74,500 helped propel the campaign to the $103,457 total. Last year, employees of Texas state agencies and higher education institutions contributed more than $9 million.
