Professional SEM Scholarships

Paper with "Scholarship Application" written

The Professional SEM Program awards a few merit-based scholarships to Professional SEM students during the Spring semester. These are available to both resident and non-resident Professional SEM students, including international Professional SEM students.

Scholarship requirements may include, but are not limited to: type, quality and duration of work experience, academic performance, residency, leadership and community service.

Current students and incoming (newly admitted) are NOT automatically considered for any scholarship award. All students interested in applying for the scholarship are required to submit the online scholarship application by the application deadline.

Application Deadlines

The deadline for applying for a scholarship is November 30th. Scholarships will be announced via email in early spring.

Scholarship Requirements

Students are STRONGLY encouraged to read the requirements below very carefully before applying for any graduate scholarships:

While the Professional SEM Program does not require scores such as GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, ESL, etc. for the purpose of admission, (a) providing these scores and submitting official copies of these scores, along with (b) evidence of quality and duration of work experience, and (c) any other relevant activities, such as, leadership or community service to the Professional Program Office, for the purpose of scholarship application, will strengthen the applicant’s case for a scholarship.

  1. Students will not be considered automatically for scholarship awards.
  2. Students must apply online to be considered by the scholarship committee.
  3. Scholarships will be awarded until all available funds have been exhausted.
  4. Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the academic semester.
  5. Scholarship offers will be sent to students from the Professional SEM Program Office via email.

Acceptance of scholarship awards and tuition reductions can result in varying implications to your tax status/situation. Please consult your professional tax advisor to determine the financial implications. You may also contact taxcompliance@utdallas.edu.
