Request a Meal Plan Change

Please use this form to request to change or cancel your meal plan.

Please Note:

You may submit one Meal Plan change free of charge before the University’s Census Day each Fall and Spring semester; Each addition submission costs $25. After Census Day you may only upgrade your meal plan for the next term. No changes or cancellations will be granted after Census Day unless you are withdrawing from the University, upon which you will be billed for the use of your current meal plan through the end of the week of your departure. Please note that until your request for change is reviewed, you will continue to pay for the meal plan for which you are currently registered.

If you are requesting a cancellation due to a medical issue, you must submit a Meal Plan Accommodation Form, available through our Meal Plan Administrator (foodservice@utdallas.edu). Each request for exemption is reviewed very carefully by Dining Services, Auxiliary Services, and the Office of Student AccessAbility. Financial concern will not be considered as a valid reason for meal plan cancellation. Regardless of reason, you will be asked to provide supporting documentation with your request.

In all other instances the University will not issue a refund for any unused portions of your meal plan, including the Meal Money allotment which is connected to the Traditional Meal Plans. If a refund is issued it will be applied first to any outstanding debt owed to the University including, but not limited to, past due fees and any future tuition installment payments, unless prohibited by applicable law. Refunds are processed and mailed by the Bursar to your permanent address.
