Are you ready to inspire a child? Join us as we bring "real world" experience into the classroom and show young students the importance of staying in school. We will help students develop the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.
Lead fun, hands-on activities with students that teach workforce readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. Training, lesson plans and supply kits will be provided by JANY.
On the first three days of our trip, we taught sixth, seventh and eighth graders, at PS 206 located in Brooklyn. Teaching had its ups and downs, rough spots and dry patches but most of all, it was one of the most rewarding experiences I ever had the chance to participate in. Becoming a mentor to these kids made one truly appreciate all the little things in life.
