Vice President for Student Affairs

  • After a national search, Dr. Inga Musselman has been selected to serve as UT Dallas' next provost and vice president for academic affairs. She assumes her new role effective Dec. 1.
  • The Office of Human Resources is collecting cereal, peanut butter and jelly for the Comet Cupboard during November. Drop off items in the collection bins in AD 2.208 and SPN 1.127.
  • There is a revised performance appraisal form, which will be available in spring 2018.
  • Nominations are open for the UT System Regents' Outstanding Employee Award. The award recognizes full-time, benefits eligible, non-faculty employees who have shown outstanding performance, innovation, enthusiasm and dedication in their job. Winners receive a Chancellor's Challenge coin, a certificate, a $10,000 monetary award and an invitation for the awardee and a guest to a luncheon ceremony in Austin. Nominations are due by Jan. 31.
 



Athletics

  • Senior Lindsey Rayborn placed 9th at the NCAA D-III Cross Country Regional Championships on Saturday, becoming the first-ever Comet runner to qualify for the national meet. Rayborn will compete in the NCAA D-III National Championships Nov. 18 in Elsah, Ill.
  • Nov. 15: Women's basketball vs. Austin College, 7 p.m., Activity Center (season opener).
  • Nov. 25: Men's basketball vs. Southwestern University, 3 p.m., Activity Center (home opener).
