Awards and Acknowledgements

• Head golf coach Butch Edge has been named a member of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Committee. The three-year appointment begins Sept. 1.

Vice President for Student Affairs

• I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer and had an opportunity to spend time with their families and loved ones. The summer seems to have quickly come and gone. • Sept. 3: UTD night at the Texas Rangers baseball game, 7:05 p.m., featuring Dr. Benson throwing out the first pitch. There are two options for purchasing tickets. • Dr. Ed Nelson was named vice president and chief of staff, reporting to Dr. Benson. Beginning Sept. 1, the following departments will report to Nelson, either directly or in a dotted line via the president: Human Resources, University Attorney, Environmental Health and Safety, Information Security, Internal Audit, Institutional Equity and Compliance and UT Dallas Police.
