Welcome

The Student Transition Initiatives office is committed to promoting student success by offering active and diverse experiences that strengthen personal growth, leadership, professional development and community engagement.

Throughout the year, the office organizes an array of programs, services and activities that support the various academic and intellectual stages of UT Dallas students.

New Student Programs

The New Student Programs office welcomes new Comets by hosting orientations and camps, with the goal of ensuring a smooth transition to the University. The office oversees the Road Warriors commuter program, the Comet Families program and the Comet Families Helpline.

Student Transition Programs

Student Transition Programs support students throughout their undergraduate tenure at the University. The office provides orientation and programming for transfer students through Transfer Student Services. Additionally, the office coordinates programming for the Sophomore Year Experience, Junior Year Experience and Senior Year Experience.

Career Center

The Career Center provides services and programs dedicated to help all students and alumni explore their career paths and build resilience while transitioning from school to career. The center hosts career seminars, employer information sessions, career expos, and networking events to build workforce readiness and career connections. Key service areas include: Career Advising, On-Campus Student Employment, Career Education, Internship Coordination, and Employer Relations.

Military and Veteran Center

The Military and Veteran Center serves as a resource hub for veterans, reservists, eligible dependents and military service members. The center promotes veteran-specific opportunities and connects student veterans with campus and community resources. The center is located in the Student Services Addition 14.250.
