Undergraduate Transfer Orientation
Congratulations on your admission to UT Dallas! One of your first steps toward a successful transition to UT Dallas is to register for and attend Transfer Orientation.
The Transfer Orientation office is currently operating remotely. If you have any questions, you can reach us via email at [email protected].
Transfer Orientation for Spring 2021 admitted transfer students will be held in a completely online format. Students will complete a virtual Transfer Orientation process which will share important university policies, information, and resources, then work with academic advising to register for classes. The virtual orientation process includes two informational modules in eLearning and an interactive orientation session with other transfer students in Microsoft Teams.
Transfer Orientation Registration
Transfer Orientation registration for students entering in Spring 2021 is now available. Please see information below regarding steps to complete.
Transfer Orientation Steps to Complete
Step 1: Sign up for your virtual orientation session date using the steps below. Your virtual session will be held in Microsoft Teams.
To register for a virtual orientation session:
Step 2: Complete two Transfer Student Orientation modules in eLearning. These modules will share important information over university policies, procedures, and resources.
To complete the required eLearning modules:
Once you complete both eLearning modules with scores of 100% and register for a virtual session, your orientation hold will be lifted in 1-2 business days. Students will register for classes after all holds are removed and the student meets with their academic advisor.
Students who register to attend Transfer Orientation will receive session information by email. All orientation email communication will be sent to the student’s UT Dallas email address. You can set up your NetID and password here, and find more information on accessing your student email here. If you are having trouble with your NetID or email please contact the UT Dallas Help Desk.
