The Fitness Program consists of the fitness center in which visitors to the Activity Center can choose from 39 pieces of cardio equipment, two areas of free weights and several plate-loaded machines to get the workout desired. For those looking for a new twist on their traditional workout, take one of our many group fitness classes or sign up for personal training.

Group X

Exercise in a group! Trained instructors lead Group X workouts, which exercise your muscles while you have fun at the same time. Whether it's kettlebell, yoga, spin or Zumba, choose something you like and join the group! Check out our schedule today.

Fall into Fitness

With the beginning of every school year comes fresh hopes, new passions, and a renewal of intentions.  It’s the perfect time to establish or renew the habit of regular exercise, and UREC will give you prizes to help you get started. Just get your Group Fitness Instructor to sign your special Fall into Fitness card every time you take a class, and prizes will come your way at the end of the promotion. See you to start the Fall 2018 semester!

The 31 in 31 Challenge

October has 31 days, and we know you can cover a mile for each of those days – whether it’s running, swimming, dancing, or taking a yoga class -  track your steps and share your progress with UREC through Instagram or Twitter. Folks who complete the challenge get special recognition and the first place winner receives a prize. We'll be back October 2018!

Triathlon Express

Our Second Annual Triathlon Express is February 24, 2018! Click here for the event details, or click here if you’re ready to register.

Whether you’re a triathlon neophyte or expert, you will have a great time and be challenged at this indoor 60-minute event.

The Triathlon Express includes a 10-minute swim, 30 minutes on a stationary bike and a 20-minute treadmill run. Participants will be judged on who goes the farthest in each of the timed segments. With this format first-timers can experience the challenge and joy of completing three different events in one, while experts can (no pun intended) put the pedal to the metal.

Even non-swimmers can walk halfway down the length of the pool and back to complete a lap. And since it all happens indoors it doesn’t matter what the fickle February weather decides.
