Partners

UTeach Dallas, as a part of the Science and Mathematics Education Department, relies on close relationships with partners throughout the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. These partnerships include local ISDs, museums and corporations.

Over the years, we have placed pre-service teachers in Allen ISD, Dallas ISD, Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD, Coppell ISD, Frisco ISD, Garland ISD, McKinney ISD, Mesquite ISD, Richardson ISD, Wylie ISD, and more. In any given school year, we have more than 200 students in the field, teaching and observing lessons from upper elementary through high school. We are grateful for our local ISD teachers that serve as mentors for all those field lessons.

UTeach Dallas students collaborate with a multitude of programs throughout our Internships. These include local museums, public library outreach, and girls physics camp.

We are grateful for the experience and expertise shared by all of those who help prepare UTeach Dallas students for a rich and rewarding professional life.

Since its inception, UTD has had a close working relationship with Texas Instruments. We are grateful that has continued with partnership of the UTeach Dallas program and the TI Foundation. We are also very grateful to all the other donors to the UTeach Dallas program including Greater Texas Foundation, Hamon Charitable Foundation, NMSI, O’Donnell Foundation, Meyers Foundation, Sid Richardson Foundation, and Tellabs.  For the complete list of all our donors, please visit UTeach Dallas Donors page.

We also appreciate the support of the education professionals, university professors, service center, and industry representatives who serve on the UTeach Dallas/SME Advisory Committee, as well as other business partnerships throughout the area. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in impacting STEM teacher education at UTD by serving on the committee. Learn more about the roles and responsibilities of our advisory committee in the UTeach Dallas/SME Advisory Committee Handbook. We couldn’t do it without you!
