WindSTAR, the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Wind Energy, Science, Technology and Research – will hold its 2021 winter meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board on Wednesday, February 3 & Thursday, February 4, 2021 via virtual meeting. Attendance is free but registration is required to participate in the meeting. The full meeting is for paying members of the WindSTAR Industry Advisory Board and special guests who are considering joining the Center.
To fully participate on Day 1, our special guests are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with WindSTAR.
Companies not participating in the full Day 1 meeting will have an opportunity to learn about WindSTAR purpose and on-going activities on the evening of Wednesday, February 3, 2021, during the open information session.
All participants of the meeting will have an opportunity to learn about the progress made by the WindSTAR team in the following areas: wind farm performance assessment, wind turbine load variations due to wake steering, tower design with innovative materials, composites and blade manufacturing, blade health monitoring with acoustic sensors, methods for blade repair, life modeling of power converters, and wind turbine digital twins for decision support and asset management.
Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic our meeting will be held via virtual meeting. Hotel reservations are not necessary.
