Benefits Fair to Help Employees Navigate Enrollment Questions

Benefits Fair to Offer Health Checkups, More Information on Enrollment Options
The Office of Human Resources will host a Benefits Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, July 13, in the Student Union Galaxy Rooms (SU 2.602). Faculty and staff members are invited to learn about their benefit options before the enrollment period starts.
My UT Benefits
Annual Enrollment for eligible employees runs July 15 through midnight Dallas time on July 31. UT Select Medical Plan participants may also sign up for a free on-site health checkup through Catapult at the Gemini (SU 2.504) and Phoenix (SU 2.508) rooms from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. View the fair schedule online, and contact the UT Dallas Benefits Services staff at [email protected], or 972-883-2221, for more information.

Same-Sex Spouse Benefits Eligibility
As recently announced by the UT System, same-sex spouses and their dependent children are eligible for enrollment in the UT Group Insurance Program as of July 1. This includes medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, and UT FLEX plans, as well as life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, disability insurance and long-term care insurance. Contact a UT Dallas Benefits Administrator or email [email protected] for information about adding your spouse and/or eligible dependent children to your insurance coverage.

Dual Benefits Enrollment
Dual benefits enrollment may be required for employees who have experienced a life event change, are new hires or have become newly eligible for benefits between July 1, 2015, and Aug. 31, 2015. If you fall into one of these categories, please review the online instructions and contact a Benefits Administrator to complete your enrollment, rather than enrolling through My UT Benefits. Any enrollment or change with an effective date between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 should be submitted to a Benefits Administrator no later than Aug. 12 to avoid processing delays.

New Design Enhances Admission and Enrollment Website

iPhone view of the new Enrollment website preview
The Office of Admission and Enrollment is nearly ready to take the wraps off its redesigned website and invites you to take it for a spin.

The site uses responsive design principles to fit the page to the reader’s screen — whether it be a smartphone, tablet or traditional PC.

The new design offers a less-cluttered view of some of the site’s most popular pages, more intuitive navigation menus and a better way for applicants to find the right admission counselor.

University Web Services wants your comments and suggestions before the site formally launches. If you have a few minutes to help, visit utdallas.edu/enroll-preview to browse through the preview version, and email your thoughts to [email protected].

Volunteers Needed to Welcome Students Back Aug. 24-25

Two UT Dallas students on move-in day
The Office of Administration is seeking employee volunteers Aug. 24-25 to help with the annual fall Student Welcome.

Volunteers will interact with students, pass out giveaway items and share your knowledge of campus. It’s also a way to connect with colleagues and spend some time outdoors.

To volunteer, email the Office of Administration at [email protected] or call 972-883-2213 by Aug. 17.
