International Student Services

More than 3,500 international students, representing more than 90 countries, call UT Dallas home. Our International Student Services Office (ISSO) provides unique services for international students, including immigration counseling, cultural and educational events, and orientation programs for new international students. ISSO also provides cultural, social, and adjustment programs to help international students succeed academically, personally, and professionally while studying at UT Dallas.

Some common programs include social security office visits, cultural festivals, talent showcase, and an international graduation reception.

New Financial Affidavit Form

The UT Dallas financial affidavit form has been re-designed and the form has a new look. The amount of financial support required for the I-20 did not change.

The previous financial affidavit form (dated 5/23/2011) will be accepted through February 1, 2012. After that date, the new financial affidavit form (dated 11/29/2011) is required.

New Students

Do you have questions about applying for a visa, or getting your I-20? What is Dallas like? Where would you live? Where is orientation? Find answers to all these questions and more in the New Students section.

Current Students

The procedures and policies an international student must follow are numerous. Get help on the paperwork puzzle in the Current Students section.

Health Insurance

International students are required to carry health insurance and evacuation/repatriation coverage while enrolled at UTD. Find out the policy details, how to access medical care, and waiver instructions in the Health Insurance section.

Events and Resources

The UT Dallas ISSO realizes that moving to a new country can be an exciting and challenging experience. In order to help you with your transition, we regularly schedule social and cultural events along with informational workshops and seminars.
