Provide your cell phone number so that UT Dallas can send you text alerts in the event of an emergency or disruption to normal University operations.

Student Instructions: Update or Add Your Cell Phone Number

To add or change your cell phone number listing as recorded in the University record system, first follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Galaxy.

  2. Once the Galaxy homepage displays, click the Student Center link listed under Orion Self-Service. This displays your student center to the right of the navigation menu.

  3. Under the Personal Information heading, select Home Phone in the Contact Information box. The Phone Numbers tab of the Demographic Information page is displayed. This tab displays your current phone information in the system.

To Add a Cell Phone Number:

  1. Click the Add a Phone Number button to add a new row to your Phone Numbers table.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow in the Phone Type field. A list of Phone Types is displayed.

  3. Select Cellular in the drop-down list.

  4. Enter your cellular phone number in the Telephone field.

  5. Click Save.

A message displays, confirming that changes to your Phone Numbers table have been saved. You’re done, thank you!
