The University of Texas at Dallas continues to monitor the rapidly evolving situation surrounding COVID-19.

This webpage has been created to keep the UT Dallas community informed of confirmed COVID-19 cases on campus and will be updated within 24 hours of any new confirmed cases reported to the University.

The University will communicate with individuals in the affected campus location and with campus individuals who were determined to have been in close contact Opens in a new tab.. The University will update the list below as information is verified.

UT Dallas will release only basic details of the case but not the name of the person.

Confirmed Cases Reported to UT Dallas

  • Sept. 17 — UT Dallas student who lives off campus and visited Synergy Park North. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 17 — UT Dallas student who lives off campus and visited the Activity Center. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 17 — UT Dallas student who lives in Residence Hall Southwest and visited Dining Hall West and the Activity Center. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 17 — UT Dallas employee who visited the Outdoor Sports Facilities. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 16 — UT Dallas student who lives off campus and visited the Sciences Building. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 12 — UT Dallas student who lives in Canyon Creek Heights South and visited Engineering Computer Science South. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 12 — UT Dallas student who lives in Canyon Creek Heights North. The individual did not visit any other campus buildings. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 11 — UT Dallas student who lives in Canyon Creek Heights South. The individual did not visit any other campus buildings. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 9 — UT Dallas visitor who was attending a class in the Blackstone Launchpad. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 5 — UT Dallas student who lives off campus and visited Synergy Park North. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Sept. 3 — UT Dallas employee who was performing work in the Student Services Building.  The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Aug. 20 — UT Dallas employee who was performing work in the following buildings: Engineering & Computer Science West, Administration, Green Hall, Founders, Science Learning Center, Jonsson, Founders North, and Callier Richardson Addition. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Aug. 17 — UT Dallas student who lives off campus and visited the Activity Center. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Aug. 17 — UT Dallas student who lives in Residence Hall Southwest. The student visited the Activity Center and Dining Hall West. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Aug. 15 — UT Dallas student who lives in University Village Apartments. The individual did not visit any other campus buildings. The University has notified the UT Dallas-affiliated close contacts of this individual, as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Aug. 11 — A UT Dallas contractor tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Aug. 10 — A UT Dallas employee tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • Aug. 7 — Two UT Dallas students and a University contractor have tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that none of the individuals had any close contacts as defined by the CDC. The University will work with appropriate health officials to monitor the situation.
  • Aug. 4 — The University was notified that a student who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the individual.
  • July 23 – The University was notified that a UT Dallas contractor who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Those in close contact with the individual will be contacted. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 22 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas student has tested positive for COVID-19. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 17 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas employee who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the employee.
  • July 16 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas employee who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Those in close contact with the individual will be contacted. We will also work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 10 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas employee who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the employee.
  • July 3 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas contractor who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 3 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas staff member who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the staff member.
  • June 27 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas staff member who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the staff member.
  • June 22 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas contractor who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • June 19 — The University was notified that two additional UT Dallas students have tested positive for COVID-19. The students live in University Village and are roommates of the first student who was confirmed positive on June 11. The students are currently self-isolating, and the University will continue to work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • June 18 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas student who had been working at the Dallas campus of the Callier Center for Communication Disorders has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual had no contact with the Callier Child Development Program. The student lives off campus and is currently self-isolating, and the University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the student.
  • June 16 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student was tested on June 11 and lives in University Village. The student is currently self-isolating. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the student.
